{"start":0,"count":1,"data":[{"publicDescription":"<p><strong>Rocket Enterprise Developer</strong><br />\n<br />\n<strong>Summary</strong><br />\nOur client is seeking a Rocket Enterprise Developer to support a large-scale migration and ongoing development from an IBM mainframe environment to a Linux-based AWS Cloud platform using Rocket software's enterprise server solution. &nbsp;This is a development-focused role.<br />\n<strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Remediate and refactor legacy COBOL applications.</li>\n\t<li>Ensure programs compile and execute correctly within Rocket enterprise developer and enterprise server.</li>\n\t<li>Convert and validate JCL and control cards.</li>\n\t<li>Resolve defects identified during parallel testing.</li>\n\t<li>Support deployments and post-cutover stabilization activities.</li>\n\t<li>Interact with app support and other dev teams on standards, processes, and procedures for mainframe development.</li>\n\t<li>Train and onboard new developers from partner companies.</li>\n\t<li>Support the transition from migration project work into ongoing application support.</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p><strong>Requirements</strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>5+ years of COBOL and CICS application development experience including:\n\t<ul>\n\t\t<li>Hands-on coding, debugging, and unit testing experience;</li>\n\t\t<li>Working in a modernized, non-mainframe COBOL environment;</li>\n\t\t<li>Ability to write JCL, PROCS, and control cards and execute them.</li>\n\t</ul>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>Experience with Rocket Enterprise Developer (formerly Micro Focus) including:\n\t<ul>\n\t\t<li>Building, compiling, and debugging COBOL applications;</li>\n\t\t<li>Using Eclipse or Visual Studio IDE.</li>\n\t</ul>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>Experience with Rocket Enterprise Server including:\n\t<ul>\n\t\t<li>Deploying COBOL applications to the platform;</li>\n\t\t<li>Troubleshooting runtime issues;</li>\n\t\t<li>Partnering with infrastructure and administration teams.</li>\n\t</ul>\n\t</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p><strong>Preferred</strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>IBM Mainframe experience.</li>\n\t<li>Experience with legacy system modernization.</li>\n\t<li>Experience with Linux, specifically:\n\t<ul>\n\t\t<li>Command line experience;</li>\n\t\t<li>File system navigation;</li>\n\t\t<li>Basic scripting;</li>\n\t\t<li>Log analysis and troubleshooting;</li>\n\t\t<li>Code promotion across environments.</li>\n\t</ul>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>Experience with AWS Cloud, specifically:\n\t<ul>\n\t\t<li>Solid understanding of COBOL workloads running on Linux in AWS;</li>\n\t\t<li>Familiarity with cloud-hosted application environments.</li>\n\t</ul>\n\t</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p><br />\nThis is a 4-month Contract opportunity. &nbsp;Low-cost employee benefits, paid time off, paid Holidays, and a 401(k) (with an immediately vested company match) are available with TriCom during the contract period.<br />\n&nbsp;</p>\n","id":11709,"title":"Rocket Enterprise Developer"}]}
